New art school opening at Souq Waqif (The Peninsula)

DOHA: The new art school and studio, Dar al Founoun - House of Art, at Souq Waqif, will start its first term on January 11. The school, which will be set in a characteristic oriental building with state-of-the-art facilities, aims to promote art education, art creation and art appreciation.

Censorship is a controversial issue, as evidenced by the amount of discussion in regard to the censoring of visual art from the Addison Street Windows Gallery. However, unless we are able to view the work, our judgment about this gallery's decision lacks perspective.
